Caitlin + Ryan’s Woodsy and Intimate Denver Engagement Session
I (Elle) met Caitlin in college when we were both in equally horrible relationships (they were best friends, go figure). Luckily, we both very much moved on and Caitlin has truly met her match in Ryan. They both love having deep, meaningful conversations and connecting with all people. They're always open and honest, vulnerable and unafraid to share the harder parts of life. They also had some of the best vows I've ever heard in my entire life at their wedding (check out the wedding video we did for them on the films page). One that really stuck with me was Ryan's: "I vow to live our story hard and to die grateful". It was a beautiful commitm ...
Aparna + Nathaniel’s Adventurous San Francisco Engagement Session
The biggest hearts, these two. Before their engagement session, I got to talk to Aparna a number of times over the phone and I was most impressed by her willingness to talk and plan the wedding with photography in mind. They both value photography and filmmaking so much, and are unbelieveably considerate and it isn't exculsive to their wedding planning. The entire time we hung out and shot their engagements, they were constantly asking Zach and I questions about ourselves, what motivates us, how we got into all of this and what it's like to be photographers. A+N are such engaging and present people and we loved our conversations and shared mo ...
Jaclyn + Michael’s Adventurous Monterey Engagement Session
Jaclyn and Michael met us half way between Venice and San Francisco, right in the heart of the tiny town of Monterey. After grabbing a beer, we wandered down to the foggy Pebble Beach coast and then Zach and I proceeded to lose our sh!t with excitement over the breeze, the way the sun mingled with the encroaching fog and most of all, the dynamic between Jaclyn and Michael. They were so comfortable with one another and were willing to forgo their anxiety about being in front of the camera to capture some truly honest and beautiful moments. So much of what we do as wedding photographers has to do with the willingness of the couple to take a lea ...
