Ushi + John’s Indian Ceremony at Campovida

Weddings

Ushi and John had pretty much every weather pattern you can imagine in a single day with rain and momentary bursts of sun peeking through the clouds by the end of the evening and they were completely positive and joyful the whole way through. They gathered around their family and friends and had a traditional Indian ceremony which yes, did include John riding in on a horse, but none of these traditions were just because they should; they were each intentional and inspired by the rituals and spiritual traditions of Ushi’s family. We were so inspired by how incredibly heartfelt and genuine everyone was and we really felt like two radically different families were being joined together. We’re so glad we got to witness and capture all the colorful moments that happenened on their wedding day! Elizabeth + Chris
Hey all. Elle here. This wedding has been on my mind recently and originally we weren't planning on blogging it because it all happened so fast and I didn't know how much I'd be able to even capture of their day. Elizabeth had heard of me through a friend and reached out a few weeks before her wedding date. She shared how laid back and intimate their wedding was and from the sound of her voice, I could sense how completely at peace she was about the whole process. As someone that is currently planning her wedding, I've found myself in black holes of Pinterest and my soul, feeling the pressure to craft some perfect experience that deeply displ ...

Mary Claire + Joe’s Metropolitan Dallas Wedding
Mary Claire and Joe. Mary Claire and Joe. Gah, two of the smartest humans but with the most playful, joyful and curious minds. I (Elle) knew Mary Claire in college and I loved how there were always so many sides to her. She could be HILARIOUS, so goofy and clever, she could out dance you at any party, or she could sit in the corner and analyze family dynamics or theology with you. I didn't think it'd be possible to find a match for MC until Joe. He's an equal force of fun, intelligence, and confidence. I've never actually called anyone a power couple until I photographed these two. Plus, they have amazing families and friends behind them that ...

Liana + Brian’s Rustic Backyard Elopement in San Diego
Liana and Brian have become good friends with us since their wedding. Experiences with them will do that. They're infinitely invested in the people around them and once they know you, you're in their life. We've spent nights sleeping on their couch, eating food in their kitchen and playing Settlers. Their wedding was a beautifully intimate and sacred ceremony, 28 people in field outside San Diego, soaking up the sunlight and running toward the mountains after their first kiss. They proved that bigger isn't better and they chose the less popular but more meaningful route for celebrating their marriage. We're so honored to witness and capture a ...
