ELLE is the lead photographer behind Kindred with a history of documenting love stories for the last 12 years. With a background in photojournalism and fine art, her work is heartful and uncontrived. She works primarily with analog formats, favoring 35mm but also using 120 and Polaroid to bring a variety of perspectives. When she’s not behind the camera, she’s most likely cooking in the kitchen or curled up on the couch with a good book.

ZACH operates the administrative backdrop of the studio. While often joining forces with Elle, he also does much of the unseen heavy lifting of bookkeeping, editing, and planning. When he’s not behind a computer, he is likely watching something on the Criterion Channel.

Rooted in the charm of New England and the high energy of New York City, Kindred’s images capture iconic scenery and ever-changing seasons with nostalgia and warmth. Their personal, immersive style has earned them recognition in The New York Times, Vogue, Brides, and Martha Stewart Weddings. In 2020, they were named one of Rangefinder’s 30 Rising Stars, and in 2024, they were among The Wed’s “Top 40 Photographers in the US.”
