A married duo based in New England. Intimate and immersive, their work seeks to celebrate the poetry of modern romance artfully and honestly.

ELLIE is the photographer behind Kindred with a history of documenting love stories for the last 12 years. With a background in photojournalism and fine art, her work is heartful and uncontrived. She works primarily with analog formats, favoring 35mm but also using 120 and Polaroid formats to bring a variety of perspectives. When she’s not behind the camera, she’s most likely cooking in the kitchen or curled up on the couch with a good book.

ZACH operates the administrative backdrop of the studio. While occasionally joining forces with Elle, he is more often doing the unseen heavy lifting of bookkeeping, editing, and planning. When he’s not behind a computer, he is likely watching something on the Criterion Channel.
